Description

This is a pipe used by Native American Plains Tribes for Women. Select from either Minnesota Pipestone (orange/red color), Utah Pipestone (burgandy/red color, harder and more durable), Orange Translucent Alabaster (Softer stone of a radiant color and texture) or Translucent White Alabaster (Also a softer stone with small fissures that that show through, but a very unique effect). See Pipestone T Pipe picture above for example of different colors of stone. A wood stem (usually 12") is needed with this pipe bowl. Do it yourself or look in the store under this category for pipe stems.
Pipes are a very sacred matter among our people and we respect the responsibility of those that Creator has designated to carry one. As pipemakers, we too have responsibility to the medicine people and Creator. We are not in the position of selling ceremonial pipes. When we know someone personally we can make them a pipe in trade for some like item. In E-commerce this is a little hard to do, so for those that have reference from a known medicine person, we will make a pipe in exchange for the only medium available, Federal Reserve Notes, to help those so designated to fulfill that responsibility. Unfortunately, this too is the medium in which we purchase things to survive, which we must do to continue our responsibilities. Things were once different, and we are confident they will someday be that way again. Until then we deal with things as we do now. Even though this is where we are at now, it is still important that pipe making is done in a good way. When we are contacted by someone that needs help with a pipe for ceremony, we do so prayerfully with that person in mind as we pray and make the pipe. It is an important way, so we ask that those who have not a right to have a pipe in this way, please choose one of the commercially available pipes below. Others who want a ceremonial pipe, please select below but also expect to be contacted as to acceptability. Ceremonial pipe pricing is simply a guideline.
